DJ Scams: Steer clear of these guys!

#1 The Lowball price DJ scam!

They will suck you in with their low, too good to be true prices, but who knows if they will show up?  When people stoop to hiring the lowest unrealistically priced DJ they can find, you most likely will get any schlimiel off the street in street clothes that will show up at your party and claim to be a professional DJ!  They are out there! Did they give you a legal written contract or did they just take a deposit from you and a verbal agreement?  They smooth talk you on the phone and promise the world, and when they arrive and perform it's quite different then you expected!

 This breed of unethical DJ will go and book a 4 hour party for a riduculisly low price like $250 and have a verbal agreement with the client.  Then say this DJ books something else for the same date say a week before the intial verbal agreement at a higher rate (yet still unrealistic) say $325.00.  That unethical DJ cancels on the first verbal agreement and basically screws over the original client, because he is getting the higher rate of pay from a new client at the last minute.  This leaves that first client scrambling around at the last minute for a new DJ with no recourse on the cancellation because there is no legal contract! 

We always issue legal written contracts for every event and we have never cancelled on a client, ever!  We have reliable backup staff and equipment to cover emergencies.

Expect them to have outdated and limited equipment and music, and bad sounding systems! If you made only $200 a gig, how would you afford to get decent equipment and a good music collection? 
You wouldn't!! You wouldn't make enought to afford it!

Your party is too valuble to flirt with disaster!

Bad Sound, Limited Music! No Talent or knowledge how to engage a crowd!  They sit behind the table all night and just play music!!  They suck in constant business with lowball prices, but nobody uses them ever again!
